How to Look Up a Hedge Fund’s AUM

You do not need a data terminal to find out how much a hedge fund manages. Because U.S. advisers disclose it on Form ADV, the figure is public.

Two numbers matter. Regulatory assets under management (RAUM) is a standardized, gross figure the SEC requires — it is the number we show as “Reg. AUM.” Separately, each private fund reports its gross asset value. A single manager may run several funds, so its firm-level RAUM is usually larger than any one fund.

To look up a specific manager, search its name and open its firm page — the AUM, fund list, and service providers are all there.

You can look up any of these facts for a specific firm using the search.
